Hazardous Waste Management for Petrochemical Operations
Simply Waste Consultants provides specialist waste management for refineries, terminals, and petrochemical processing facilities across England, Scotland, and Wales. We understand COMAH requirements and the challenges of managing high-hazard waste streams—delivering compliant disposal solutions for complex petrochemical materials.
Petrochemical Waste Streams We Handle
Petrochemical operations generate high-volume, high-hazard waste requiring expert handling. Our service covers:
Hydrocarbon residues and slops
Tank cleaning and washings
Off-specification product streams
Process chemicals and catalysts
Contaminated process waters
Sludges and solids
Maintenance and turnaround waste

We manage all regulatory aspects including:
COMAH waste documentation
Environmental permit compliance reporting
Hazardous Waste Consignment Notes
EWC and HP code assignment for complex mixtures
Notifications to Environment Agency, SEPA, and NRW
Collection and Transport
We coordinate specialist collection services through our network of licensed hauliers, including bulk tankers, ISO tanks, and emergency response capabilities. Our haulier network operates nationwide across England, Scotland, and Wales with experience in high-hazard petrochemical environments.
Our collection capability ranges from single drum uplifts to full articulated loads. We handle small-scale collections of individual 205-litre drums, intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), and palletised waste. For larger volumes, we arrange multi-pallet collections up to 24 pallets per load, plus bulk tanker services up to 29,000 litres for hydrocarbon slops, tank washings, and liquid process waste. Our specialist haulier network includes vacuum tankers, heated tankers for viscous materials, and ISO tank containers for international waste shipments. Emergency response capabilities support unplanned shutdowns, process upsets, and maintenance emergencies requiring immediate large-scale waste removal.
