Hazardous Waste Management for the Construction Sector
Simply Waste Consultants supports contractors, demolition specialists, and site managers across England, Scotland, and Wales with practical hazardous waste solutions.
Construction and demolition projects generate diverse hazardous arisings under tight programmes—we provide compliant disposal that keeps sites moving and audits clean.
Construction Waste Streams We Handle
Construction and demolition activities produce hazardous waste alongside general arisings. Our service covers:
Contaminated soils and made ground
Asbestos-containing materials (specialist handling)
Paints, solvents, and coatings
Adhesives, sealants, and resins
Oils and fuels from site plant
Treated and preserved timber
Hazardous packaging and absorbents
Classification and Compliance Support
Construction waste classification often involves mixed and variable materials—accurate assessment prevents misdescription and unexpected disposal costs.
Unidentified contamination uncovered mid-programme can stop works entirely without prompt classification. Our experienced team list and classify each waste stream accurately, including sampling and testing of soils and arisings where required.
We handle all compliance requirements including:
Hazardous Waste Consignment Notes
EWC and HP code assignment
WAC testing and soil classification
Duty of Care documentation
Notifications to Environment Agency, SEPA, and NRW
Collection and Transport
We coordinate flexible site collections through our network of licensed, ADR-compliant hauliers, working around construction programmes and phased works across England, Scotland, and Wales.
Skips, drums, and bulk containers are provided to suit site conditions.
Our collection capability ranges from single drum uplifts to full articulated loads. We handle individual 205-litre drums, intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), and palletised waste, plus multi-pallet collections up to 24 pallets per load and bulk transport for contaminated soils and liquid waste.
Emergency uplifts are available for unexpected discoveries and spillages, whilst scheduled collections support ongoing site operations and phased demolition. Container provision is matched to available site space and access.
